The Forever King

The Forever King - Molly Cochran, Warren Murphy

This is the book that first got me into Arthurian legend. It has a good plot, very nice characterization, and introduces an interesting twist on the King Arthur story. I also enjoyed the way that the present-day plot was interspersed with flashbacks to the Grail's history and the history of King Arthur himself. In addition, I liked

the way Sir Galahad and his modern reincarnation were totally opposite in regard to status -Galahad is a renowned knight, while Hal is a jobless alcoholic- but still possessed of the same nobility of heart. It's a book I've re-read many times.
